HARPO MARX

As a young autograph hound of 12 or so, I tracked down Harpo Marx
at the Roosevelt Hotel (now the Fairmont), during a stay in which he was
performing at the Blue Room with his brother Chico in 1958.

I knocked on his door and Harpo's wife Susan greeted me warmly and
invited me in, and Harpo did this sketch for me.

I never could hook up with Chico because he was at the race track everyday.

You can see Elvis Presley's autograph showing thru Harpo's face above from the
next page in my autograph book, also scored at Elvis' room at the Roosevelt while
he was here in New Orleans filming "King Creole."
